Help us to continue a legacy of caring for often overlooked members of the community.

This includes medical and community services to Connecticut women and children in need. Your donations make this possible.

Since the Foundation began in 2019, your donations have helped to provide more than 600 families with Thanksgiving dinners and supplemented everyday needs throughout the year.

With your donations, we’re also able to buy necessities and Children’s Christmas wish list items for families in the Greater Hartford area.

Together, we can help the Connecticut families struggling to put food on the table, toys under the tree, and enrich communities that need it.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your support. Your donation of any size is tax-deductible (501c3) and is most appreciated.

WHO WE ARE

The Angelo S. Carrabba, MD Foundation was founded in memory of Dr. Carrabba, a distinguished physician in the greater Hartford area. In addition to caring for countless patients and serving in numerous leadership roles in the local medical community, Dr. Carrabba is remembered for his immense personal generosity towards those less fortunate. The Foundation aims to encourage physician leadership, patient advocacy, and support for women and children.

OUR MISSION

Making A Difference One Life At A Time

SERVING THE VULNERABLE

We are continuing Dr. Carrabba's legacy for caring for often overlooked members of the community. The Foundation directly provides medical and community services to women and children in need. We are regularly expanding our reach to create strong, healthy futures.

More than 32,000 children in Greater Hartford aren’t getting the food they need to learn and grow. 1 in 9 people in Hartford and Tolland Counties are at risk of hunger. And 41% of food-insecure people in Hartford and Tolland counties live in households that are too high to qualify for most federal nutrition assistance programs.

FOSTERING NEW LEADERSHIP

Annually, The Angelo S. Carrabba Community Physician Award is bestowed to a physician who is recognized by their patients and colleagues for their extraordinary efforts in taking care of their patients and community. We also offer grants to organizations making exceptional strides in fields of medicine for women and children.

We advise physicians and the medical community on best practices in community services and provide grants to successful community organizations.
